WHAT DOES IT TAKE TO GET ON STAGE? Andy Hockley, an actor that has debut shows on the west end and performed on screen with some of hollywoods biggest names. And Lotty Marsh, an actress who has just left drama school and is in the process of getting her foot in the door, tell us about what going from audition to stage is actually like.

Dreaming in the spotlight was created for my BA1 model at 'The Northern Film School'.
I decided that needed to direct this film the moment Katie Ballingall told me about it in early development, as I have a past with acting and musical theatre, and I felt that I could say a word through making this film. It was also because I have done fiction, I have learnt about it, how to write, direct, film, edit and prepare for it. Where, as with a documentary, you really can't. You can try to, but until the day nothing is for definite. You have to work around a real story, somebody's life story, in this case. And I saw that through making one it would only improve how I can tell a story in any case.
